Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Cafeteria Staff and Custodial Staff
  • Supervise each lunch period for Early Kindergarten through 6th Grade (10:30 AM to 12:45 PM)
  • Assist students with opening packaged food, as needed
  • Ensure all students remain in their seats and maintain an appropriate volume
  • Dismiss students to throw away their trash, take up their trays, and line up to leave
  • Oversee dismissal from the lunchroom and direct students out to recess or back to their classrooms
  • Wipe off tables in between lunch periods using cafeteria approved cleaning materials
  • Sweep and/or mop large spills during lunch periods
  • After lunches are over, clean the cafeteria by doing the following:
    • Clean all lunch tables well using cafeteria approved cleaning materials
    • Raise up cafeteria table to sweep and mop the floors
    • Take trash bags out to the dumpster
Contract Days: 180

Salary: $13.50/Hour

Part-time (10:15 AM to 1:15 PM)

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Able to work effectively and communicate with a wide range of students, staff and administration.
  • Strong human relations skills, including professional tact, diplomacy and presentation.
  • Multi-tasking ability and strong organizational skills.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
