Job DescriptionThe Modern Languages, Literatures, and Cultures Department at Goucher College invites applications for an adjunct/part-time instructor to teach two courses in elementary Chinese during the spring semester (2025). The Instructor will teach two courses that meet three times a week on a MWF schedule: CHI 110 - 12h-1h10 and CHI 120 - 9h20-10h30. First consideration will be given to applications submitted by Nov.4, 2024 and will continue until the position is filled.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in teaching Chinese as a foreign language or a related field
- Previous college teaching experience
- Native or near-native proficiency in Chinese and English
- Familiarity with the methodologies and technologies used in teaching Mandarin Chinese at the university level in North America.
