The 2nd Shift Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are met. This role involves leading a team, managing resources, and resolving any issues that arise during the shift to maintain smooth and uninterrupted production.

Description

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee production line performance, taking prompt corrective measures to address any process issues.
  • Ensure production schedules are met, resources are effectively allocated, and disruptions are resolved quickly to maintain smooth operations.
  • Organize and coordinate production tasks and team goals, offering clear guidance to team members.
  • Track daily production metrics including throughput, cycle times, and scrap levels.
  • Collaborate with hourly production and maintenance staff to ensure optimal use of equipment.
  • Foster open communication with production teams, ensuring alignment on goals, performance standards, and company policies.
  • Maximize manpower efficiency through cross-training, skill development, and strategic delegation.
  • Lead Focused Improvement Teams to drive enhancements in Quality, Service, Safety, and Cost.
  • Partner with the team to develop, implement, and sustain efficient Operating Procedures.
  • Guide the team in monitoring and analyzing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), conducting Gap Analysis, and taking action to close performance gaps.
  • Serve as a technical resource, supporting operators in resolving equipment or production issues.
  • Ensure the health and safety standards of the production line are consistently met in line with company policies.

Profile

Ideal Candidate:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or relevant experience.
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in production roles.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in team environments.
  • Experience in establishing or improving team structures.
  • Skilled in leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Solid hands-on experience in manufacturing processes.
  • Proven track record of applying world-class manufacturing methods like SPC, Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, etc.
  • Capable of working independently and thriving in fast-paced settings.
