You will be responsible for mechanical and electrical assembly, prototype fabrication, and development of innovative and reliable automated systems. Furthermore, this role supports the creation of new systems, enhances prototype quality, reduces costs, and leads high-performance production and development efforts. The role requires strong knowledge in mechanical, electrical, and IT systems, as well as effective communication skills.

Description

  • Safety: Unwavering commitment to ensuring our systems are developed with safety as 1st priority.
  • Ensure robust fabrication processes are in place and adhered to: ie: applicable internal / external Codes, ASME and NFPA Standards, regulations, Hazops, DOE's, SOP's etc.
  • Manage the documentation, fabrication, test, implementation and maintenance of gas systems from concept to completion covering the entire product life cycle, specifically assembly drawings and instructions, P&IDs, and schematics.
  • Develop and execute detailed project production plans with sufficient functional composition to facilitate accurate estimates and execution.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, proposing any adjustments in a timely manner.
  • Becomes an expert in fabrication and electro-mechanical troubleshooting across multiple systems.
  • Has the ability to work in fast paced environment to hit time sensitive deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain an extensive network and solid working relationship with functional leaders in the following departments:
    • Safety, Engineering, Risk management, IT, IP, Operations, Quality, Purchasing, R&D, and TCL and ITCL
  • Manage internal / external test collaborations.
  • Purchasing: Oversee large project cycles with spend of up to $600K
  • Inventory: Responsible for tight control of critical parts
  • Work with Quality and Regulatory Teams to ensure products are developed and validated in a manner that complies with applicable local and global regulatory requirements
  • Develops and maintains critical relationships with consultants and vendors.

Profile

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with safely producing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing complex and safety sensitive automated systems
  • Knowledge of electrical codes: NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 79, NFPA 496, UL 508A, etc.
  • Experience with industrial controls, computer and PLC networks, set up and assistance.
  • Orbital Welder's certification is a plus
  • High attention to detail, and ability to interpret intricate drawings and instruction manuals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees and/or customers.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of complex variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Job Offer

  • Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000
