Pride Health is seeking a EEG tech to join a team in Denver CO . This is a 13-weeks assignment, with possible extension.
Job Title: EEG Technologist
Shift: 5x8-Hour Days
Contract Length: 13 weeks+ possible extension
Payrate: $50
Position Summary:
The EEG Technologist performs all electroencephalography (EEG) procedures independently or under supervision, including video EEGs (awake, asleep, bedside, and brain death protocol). The tech will document clinical observations during seizures, ensure patient safety, and maintain equipment. This role requires high attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and compassionate patient interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct EEG recordings including awake, asleep, bedside, and brain death protocol (video EEGs)
- Gather and summarize patient neurologic status and clinical history from charts or caregivers
- Clearly explain EEG procedures to patients and family members
- Adapt instrumentation and technique for optimal patient comfort and accurate recordings
- Identify and address artifacts to ensure EEG data quality
- Clean and maintain equipment; perform minor repairs and report major issues
- Document seizure activity, patient reactions, and emergency responses
- Maintain a clean and organized EEG lab environment
- Participate in technical meetings, conferences, and ongoing education
- Complete and file technician reports, stamp records, and place in reading room
Required Experience & Skills:
- Minimum: 2 years of EEG Tech experience
Technical Skills:
- EEG Instrumentation & Maintenance
- Written and verbal communication
Education:
- Required: High School diploma
- Has to be registered EEG
- Preferred: Associate degree in a related field
