The Journeyman Electrician will perform electrical work and inspections of wiring, fixtures, outlets, and all other electrical components within the contracted Scope of Work. Replace and repair electrical equipment and devices as required. Must be a ROCK star.
Key Responsibilities
1. Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and equipment in both public and private sector environments.
2. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical wiring, conduit runs, panel or gear placement and all other elements required to complete projects to National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
3. Install electrical components such as switches, outlets, and circuit breakers etc.
4. Test electrical systems using specialized tools to ensure proper functioning.
5. Troubleshoot electrical issues and make necessary repairs or replacements.
6. Collaborate with other tradesmen in a professional way to complete projects in a timely fashion.
7. Always adhere to safety protocols and regulations per Cal/OSHA standards.
8. Train, develop and work well with team members to ensure understanding and clarity of safe work practices while working within the electrical realm on all construction job sites.
Required Skills:
1. Current CA Journeyman Card - Electrical ("J-Card").
2. 5 - 10 years of electrical experience preferred.
3. Completed electrician apprenticeship preferred.
4. Proficiency with the National Electrical Code and local codes.
5. OSHA 10 training and certification preferred.
6. Valid CA Driver's License and clean driving record.
7. Ability to travel for work at 50% - 75%.
8. Ability to read and understand blueprints.
9. Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
10. Current Aerial Lift certifications for scissor, boom and forklift preferred.
11. Current Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program ("EVITP") certification preferred.
