We are seeking an electrical test technician who enjoys working as a member of a team to support, improve & drive elements of our quality standards. The technician will support Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering by testing, troubleshooting, and repairing circuit boards and systems. Performs tests necessary to debug, evaluate, and characterize analog, digital, embedded systems, and power circuitry. Analyzes and interprets test data to identify component and assembly-related problems. Modifies and repairs electrical prototypes, parts, assemblies, and systems to correct functional deviations. Responsible for the management of nonconforming material and quality metrics. This position is responsible for repair and replacement of returned materials and reporting of the results for corrective actions.

Job Responsibilities: - Utilize Trystar specifications, drawings, certified electrical standards, and customer orders to ensure product matches requirements.
- Check materials, procedures and mechanical or electrical systems to ensure customers get high-quality, functional products.
- Responsible for testing of products at various points in the manufacturing process to ensure adherence to customer requirements.
- Perform standard testing processes on a variety of equipment.
- Diagnosing errors or technical problems.
- Recommendations to resolve testing problems or equipment malfunctions.
- Results recording of performed inspections and maintain test records.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the work area, ensure all equipment is in safe working condition.
- Apply knowledge of electronic theory, schematics, specifications, and test techniques to isolate both product and PCB failures to lowest replaceable unit or component.
- Perform rework and repair of SMT and through-hole PCBs to production quality standards.
- Perform failure analysis of field failures and returned product.
- Assist Quality in investigating process flaws and component problems.
- Build and maintain test fixtures including cables, breakout boards, and test loads.
- Assist Engineering in circuit debug, evaluation, and characterization, and analyze and interpret test information to assist in resolution of design-related problems.
- Practice 5S manufacturing methodologies.
- Perform other duties as required.
Job Requirements: Basic Qualifications - Demonstrated ability to read and understand one-lines, schematics, and ladder diagrams.
- Ability to read and verify electrical verbiage/standards and apply it to the product.
- Ability to verify electrical components in a product and use meter equipment.
- Ability to read, review engineering specifications, and blueprints to and determine if product is in conformance.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)1-2 years of specialized electronics education OR 2+ years' experience in both testing and troubleshooting electronic assembles to the component level.
- Trained/certified in IPC-A-610 and IPC-771/7721 soldering and rework quality standards
Preferred Qualifications- Awareness of electrical standards or compliance certifications (UL, ETL, CSA)
- Understand principles of electricity, electrical components, and physics pertinent to, and methods used in testing electric equipment.
- Proficiency with common laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, DMMs, and signal generators.
- Solid understanding of analog, digital, embedded systems, and power circuitry, and ability to troubleshoot PCBs and systems to the component level.
- Ability to solder and inspect SMT assemblies to IPC standards.
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand schematics, BOMs, and other engineering documents.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize efficiently.
- Strong communications skills with excellent teamwork skills to resolve issues/concerns.
- Analytical and computer skills with experience with Epicor ERP / MRP or similar and Microsoft 365.
