Electrical Systems Engineer to join our efforts in supporting
NASA's deep space exploration missions. This is more than a job - it's your opportunity to help power humanity's journey to the Moon, Mars, and beyond.
What You'll Do: As an Electrical Systems Engineer, you'll play a key role in the development, design, and verification of complex aerospace systems. You'll support every phase of the
system lifecycle - from concept through launch and beyond - ensuring that every electrical element aligns with NASA's mission success.
Your contributions will include:
- Creating and maintaining requirements and verification plans for space systems
- Leading system design reviews such as System Readiness Reviews (SRR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), and Critical Design Reviews (CDR)
- Performing architecture trade studies and risk analyses to guide technical decisions
- Developing, managing, and validating requirements using tools like DOORS, Cradle, or Jama
- Supporting interface definition and integration between subsystems
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to troubleshoot issues, mitigate risks, and ensure technical alignment
- Serving as a liaison with NASA and other contractors, maintaining strong, professional communication
- Providing input to system concept development, verification strategies, and operations planning
- Contributing to the design, assembly, testing, and certification of spaceflight hardware
What You'll Bring:
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 2-5 years of experience in electrical or systems engineering
- Experience in hardware/software system development
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and development projects
- Knowledge of systems engineering principles, lifecycle processes, and design for sustainment
- Familiarity with NASA, DoD, or Aerospace environments, including standards and processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Hands-on experience with requirements management, verification/validation, and risk assessment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and engineering collaboration tools
Preferred Qualifications: - INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional certification
- Experience working with NASA JSC flight hardware processes and lifecycle standards
- Familiarity with NASA/JSC documentation systems, safety protocols, and interface control documentation
- Experience with electrical and mechanical design, materials selection, and design validation tools
- Strong background in team leadership, systems integration, and trade study execution
