Position Overview: Loenbro Industrial Services Group is seeking experienced Electrical Superintendents for our Data Center project sites throughout the Rocky Mountains Region.

As an Electrical Superintendent, the primary responsibility will be overseeing all electrical aspects of data center construction projects. This includes managing electrical installations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, coordinating with various stakeholders, and supervising electrical contractors and subcontractors. The role demands extensive knowledge of electrical systems, data center infrastructure, and strong leadership skills. Job Duties:

Project Management:

  • Oversee and manage the electrical scope of data center construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of electrical work.
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical plans with overall project plans.
  • Construct the project in accordance with plans, schedule, specifications and standards. Lead subcontractors and field employees on a jobsite.
  • Lead project safety in accordance with the Company's Safety Policy
  • Work alongside the Project Manager(s) to manage the project schedule, budget and staff.
  • Develop and maintain the project schedule utilizing scheduling software; prepare two-week look ahead schedules.
  • Assist with the buyout and selection of major subcontractors.
  • Recommend ways to reduce costs, improve schedule dates, decrease project scope and improve the quality of the project.
  • Ensure project documents are accurate, timely and in compliance (i.e. closeout documents, submittals, daily logs, etc.)
  • Review and enforce all contract terms and obligations.
  • Adhere to all company policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervision and Leadership:

  • Supervise and direct electrical contractors and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to electrical teams, resolving any issues that arise during construction.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure all electrical work complies with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards and best practices.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to minimize risks and prevent accidents on the construction site.
  • Conduct safety meetings and training sessions for electrical personnel.

Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct regular quality inspections and testing of electrical installations to ensure they meet design specifications and performance standards.
  • Identify and address any defects or deficiencies in electrical work, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all electrical activities, inspections, and testing results.

Budget and Resource Management:

  • Manage electrical budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and materials.
  • Procure electrical equipment and materials, coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitor and control project costs, preventing budget overruns.

Communication and Coordination:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all electrical-related issues and queries on the project site.
  • Facilitate effective communication between electrical teams and other project stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management and clients.

Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Master Electrician) are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in electrical construction, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role, preferably in data center projects.
  • Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, data center infrastructure, building codes, and safety regulations. Proficiency in project management software and electrical design tools.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues quickly and effectively.

Essential Requirements:

  • This position is based on the construction site, requiring frequent standing, walking, and occasional lifting of materials and equipment and exposure to potential hazards.
  • May require occasional travel to various project sites.
  • Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights).
  • Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1-50 pounds, 50% of the time for required tasks
  • Potential or Periodic amounts of time for the following:
  • Walking on uneven terrain, with an average of two miles per day
  • Standing
  • Sit, stoop, crawl, and kneel.
  • use of respirator if position requires.
  • If driving is required, a valid driver's license and proof of insurability are required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search and must be 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures, outside majority of the time.
  • Safely operate in manufacturing, pipeline, and refining environments.
  • Ability to work and maneuver in tight spaces, such as tanks and vessels.
  • Work is performed on limited or restricted surfaces.
  • The use of X-ray machines.
  • Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors.
  • Exposure to areas with limited visibility.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
