Job Overview

The Electrical Specialist helps ensure our customers have a positive and productive experience in the store by helping facilitate purchases and providing excellent customer service. You always put the customer first, give honest recommendations and advice, and help keep your area and the store stocked and organized. You will help foster growth in the electrical department by partnering with the Pro Services division through outreach, networking, and relationship building.

Qualifications

Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of electrical experience in the industry or sales.
  • Computer aptitude.
  • Experience working with Epicor POS, Microsoft Suite -particularly Excel preferred.
  • Skill in establishing priorities and managing both workload and time wisely.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both customers and co-workers.
  • Ability to work with a team.
  • Able to follow verbal and written work directions.
  • Ability to multitask and follow through on work assignments, especially those that are very detailed.
  • Ability to work weekends and most holidays, especially during busy seasons.
Physical Activities:
  • Ability to work on feet for long periods of time in hot and cold environments.
  • Able to frequently push or pull moderately heavy objects (approx. 60-100lbs).
  • Able to lift approximately 50lbs.
  • Able to use a ladder.
  • Operation of various store equipment and tools.
Additional Information

What can you expect?
  • Full Time employees have a consistent schedule with consecutive days off and schedules are posted two weeks in advance. We can't promise that your schedule will never change, but we will do our best to ensure your days off won't change week to week. We believe it is important that you be able to schedule appointments and other activities in advance with confidence.
  • Expect to work a weekend day or days. Weekends are the busiest time for retail, and we need to have a strong team on board.
  • We put square pegs in square holes. Everyone has a talent or area where they excel, and we strive to find what people enjoy and let them do that.
  • We don't assign busy work. There are always important tasks that need to be done. If you get them all completed, you are expected to help your colleagues complete theirs.
  • No complaining without a solution. You are expected to take ownership of solving problems that you see. If you need help, ask for it - our management team will partner with you for solutions.
Compensation:

Full Time, Non-Exempt Position
