Electrical Project Engineer Role Overview

The Electrical Project Engineer manages electrical aspects of multidisciplinary construction and renewable energy projects, including HV, LV, P&C, and commissioning systems. Reporting to the Project Manager, the role ensures safe, efficient delivery in compliance with standards.

The ideal candidate will have technical electrical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with various teams.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Technical Leadership
    • Provide guidance on HV, LV, P&C, and commissioning systems.
    • Review design drawings and specifications for alignment.
    • Collaborate on innovative, cost-effective solutions.
  2. Project Planning and Coordination
    • Support planning and scheduling of electrical works.
    • Coordinate with contractors and stakeholders.
    • Monitor progress and address delays or risks.
  3. Site Supervision and Quality Control
    • Oversee electrical works for compliance and quality.
    • Conduct inspections and audits.
    • Address technical challenges on-site.
  4. Commissioning and Testing
    • Plan and execute commissioning activities.
    • Coordinate assurance processes.
    • Complete documentation.
  5. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with regulations.
    • Conduct risk assessments.
    • Promote safety culture.
  6. Documentation and Reporting
    • Maintain records and prepare reports.
    • Ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.
  7. Stakeholder Engagement
    • Liaise with clients and regulators.
    • Represent the company in meetings.
    • Build stakeholder relationships.
  8. Value Engineering and Innovation
    • Identify value engineering opportunities.
    • Stay updated on latest technologies.
Skills and Experience

Education: Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related; professional accreditation preferred.

Experience: Proven in electrical engineering within construction, renewable energy, or utilities; knowledge of HV/LV, protection, and commissioning; site supervision experience.

Skills: Technical expertise, organizational skills, communication, stakeholder engagement, problem-solving.
