Description Our global commercial leasing client is seeking a skilled
Mechanical and Electrical Data Center Technician to perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and work order management in a dynamic data center environment. This role involves supporting critical infrastructure, escorting third-party vendors, and ensuring smooth facility operations.
All initial training will take place Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. This role pays $34.45 per hour.
Work Schedule - Week 1: Wednesday - Saturday, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
- Week 2: Thursday - Saturday, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Key Responsibilities - Conduct rounds and read inspections to ensure data center systems are operating correctly.
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
- Escort and supervise third-party vendors while ensuring compliance with security and operational standards.
- Manage and complete work orders efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues within the facility.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to assist in repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with fellow technicians and share knowledge to improve team efficiency.
Qualifications & RequirementsMust-Have: - 4-5 years of experience in a data center or similar technical environment.
- Completed Trade School Program in a relevant field.
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair systems.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and blueprints.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn.
Preferred: - Certified Electrician or HVAC Technician (Preferred but not required).
- Experience with both electrical and HVAC systems.
- Ability to share knowledge and mentor fellow technicians.
