Project Scope:
• The Mechanical Engineer will support U.S. Navy facility development, recapitalization, and construction projects, ensuring high-quality engineering input in MILCON documentation and preliminary construction cost estimates. This role demands a high level of technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and professionalism in managing mechanical engineering tasks. Collaboration with corporate Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) personnel to maintain workplace safety is also essential
• Candidate will be focused on the operational support of the physical buildings on the property. High-Level Individual Duties:
• Provide mechanical engineering input for MILCON documentation.
• Develop and review preliminary construction cost estimates.
• Design and analyze HVAC, plumbing, gas, and fluid distribution systems.
• Conduct constructability reviews of design submittal packages.
• Collaborate with project teams, SHE personnel, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Support or manage other engineering disciplines as needed. Must-Haves (Concepts & Tools):
• HVAC- Industrial installation and/or support o HVAC experience in equipment sizing, set up and installation of HVAC and support Could target most industries as long as the HVAC is Industrial size
• Education : Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred ABET Accredited) + 8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with building energy modeling software (Trane Trace, Carrier HAP).
o If candidates don't have either of these, identify what modeling software they are most familiar with.
• Experience with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) and Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS). Nice-to-Haves:
• Professional Engineer (PE) License (or willingness to obtain).
• Plumbing- smaller amount of the workload for this role, occasional support and/or design of plumbing systems including sewage and waste water - Electrical Engineer (2 OPENINGS, 1 Sr and 1 Mid-Level)
Project Scope:
• The Electrical Engineer will play a critical role in supporting the Strategic Systems Planning (SSP) Facilities Acquisition at TRIDENT Submarine Bases, focusing on electrical system development, integration, and compliance. This position will ensure high-quality engineering designs that meet mission-critical requirements, including electrical power systems, lighting, emergency power, and facility safety measures.
• Candidate will be focused on the operational support of the physical buildings on the property.
• Some travel to locations across the US. 10-20% of time High-Level Individual Duties:
• Develop conceptual single-line diagrams, Bill of Materials, and integration plans for electrical systems.
• Design review for existing and new builds
• Conduct code compliance reviews and ensure adherence to NPFA NEC, UFC, UFGS, and other regulations.
• Provide technical peer reviews of architectural/engineering design submittals.
• Support the development of Facilities Design Criteria & Facilities Evaluation Testing Criteria.
• Perform constructability reviews and site studies, including power capacity assessments.
• Develop comprehensive MILCON documentation and preliminary construction cost estimates.
• Collaborate with subcontractors, Navy stakeholders, and SHE personnel to maintain safety standards Must-Haves (Concepts & Tools):
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET Accredited) + 6 years of related experience OR equivalent education/experience.
• Experience with medium- and low-voltage systems, generators, transformers, UPS, and power converters.
• Load flow analysis, short circuit studies, load calculations.
• ETAP or SKM, AutoCAD/MicroStation.
• Regulatory Knowledge: NPFA NEC, UFC/UFGS, NAVSEA OP5 standards. Nice-to-Haves:
• Experience in MILCON facility design and implementation.
• Knowledge of electrical requirements for ordnance facilities.
• Familiarity with solidly grounded and ungrounded power system
