Electrical Maintenance Technician IRES

Position Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician Location: Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO Relocation Assistance: None available at this time Remote/Telework: NO - Not available for this position Clearance Type: DoD Secret Shift: Day shift (Mon-Fri) Travel Required: Up to 10% of the time Description of Duties: The Electrical Maintenance Technician supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:
• Perform circuit component repair and/or replacement.
• Installation of light fixtures and switches.
• Installation of electrical receptacles.
• Power connections for systems' furniture. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to performing or assisting with the following facility modification taskings:
• Furniture systems demolition, installation, removal, and reconfiguration.
• Carpet replacements.
• Ceiling grid repair/reconfiguration.
• Tacking and updating work orders in a Windows based system.
• Other tasks as assigned are occasional escorting of personnel. Resumes, in month and year format, must be submitted with application in order to be considered for the position. Basic Requirements: Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 8 years of general experience; Associate's degree and 6 years of general experience; Bachelor's degree and 4 years of general experience; Master's degree and 2 years of general experience
• Minimum of 8 years' experience with common electrical tasks and tools.
• Must have a current Colorado Journeyman Electrical License.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
• Candidate must have, or be able to obtain, an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Familiarity with Windows based work order systems. This position is expected to pay $47,300 - $72,300 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position. This position will be posted for a minimum of 3 days.
