Akkodis is Seeking a Electrical Maintenance Technician as a contractor for the location of Quincy MA. It is a contract Position for 12 months. Ideally Looking for a candidate with experience in Medical Device Manufacturing Industry.
Pay Range: $40 - $50/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Duties
Manage and execute facilities upgrades, renovations, and energy efficiency initiatives
Maintain and troubleshoot high and low voltage systems, including 1.5 MW supply site, generators, fire pumps, and substations
Monitor and support solar energy systems (1.3 MW rooftop installation) in coordination with vendors
Lead electrical projects and oversee continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain maintenance logs, schematics, and sub-meter systems for power monitoring
Act as the point of contact for vendor coordination and troubleshooting
Participate in an on-call rotation (every 3-4 weeks after 6 PM, with $20/day compensation)
Must-Haves:
Master Electrician License with a minimum of 5 years of experience
Hands-on experience with commercial-level generators
Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
Expertise in both high and low voltage systems (down to 24 volts)
Previous experience in a facilities maintenance or industrial setting
Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Solid understanding of local and state electrical codes with practical application experience
Strong track record of working with and managing vendors for troubleshooting and maintenance
Pluses:
Experience with fire protection systems
Knowledge of building automation systems, particularly Schneider (current system), Wattstopper, and Synapse (lighting control systems)
Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) experience
CMMS proficiency-preferably ServiceZone, though experience with BlueMountain or Maximo is also valuable
