Akkodis is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a contractual role (temp to hire) with a client in Dayton, OH.


Rate Range : $22/hour - $36/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


Must be comfortable working M-F (7am - 3:30pm)


Electrical Maintenance Technician Responsibilities Include:

Under minimal supervision, installs, repairs, and maintains in accordance with machine manuals, prints, or by referral to building codes:

  • Physical structures.
  • Electrical wiring
  • Plumbing and fixtures.
  • Includes motor and engine, CNC, electrical, pneumatic, and PLC.
  • Assists higher-level maintenance.
  • Assure all policies and procedures are followed and safety precautions are taken to reduce the risk of injury.
  • Responsible for facility and ground maintenance.
  • Expected to be on call.
  • Occasional travel may be necessary.
  • Occasional use of personal vehicle may be needed for pickup/delivery of machine parts.
  • Other maintenance and facilities duties as assigned.
  • Once employee demonstrates competency in position, he/she may be required to train others in similar roles.
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Highschool Diploma or Equivalent
  • 3-6 Years of relevant Experience
  • Skills in motor and engine, single and 3-phase electric, pneumatic equipment, PLCs, and general mechanical aptitude.
  • Computer skills.
  • Strong initiative required to accomplish departmental and corporate objectives.
  • Interpersonal communication and teamwork skills required.
  • Strong organizational skills required.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good problem-solving skills and required to utilize continuous improvement skills.
  • Ability to perform diversified tasks.
  • Ability to demonstrate good customer service skills by being responsive and following up to customer needs.
