Systems Integration and Test Facility (SITF), Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL) Hardware-in-the-Loop facility (HWIL), and the Software Development Facilities (SDFs) that will be used to verify the integrated avionics system for the Space Launch System (SLS) at NASA s Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). The position requires expertise in assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and some limited design skill that would be relevant in supporting distributed computing and simulation laboratories, integration tasks and development activities. The position will require personnel certification in operations including Electrostatic Discharge, Cabling Operator, and Crimping Operator.
Responsibilities: Perform software/hardware integration activities as required:
- Support systems integration functions
- Support software/hardware integration troubleshooting and bug-fix activities
- Develop and execute test plans and procedures
- Enter or update documentation into appropriate control system
- Troubleshoot simulation anomalies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet performance goals
- Provide weekly written and oral status reports in a meeting setting
- Troubleshooting and development Linux based operating systems.
- Utilize Software Development Language to assist with troubleshooting
- Usage of a 1553 relay
- Create and Interpret Engineering Drawings and Schematics
These activities will be on-going as the launch vehicle architecture matures and the SLS program completes program phases, reviews and schedule milestones.
