Our Client is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be qualified, motivated and detail-oriented, and will possess the ability to provide accurate and timely job estimates and present in a clear, concise manner. While this is our ideal list, we will consider candidates that do not necessarily have all of the qualifications but have sufficient experience and talent.
Responsibilities:
- Have relevant electrical qualifications
- Review and incorporate historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, into unit and man-hour figures
- Develop project specific estimates based on project plans and schedules
- Provides quantity take-offs and Electrical construction cost estimates
- Develops and/or compiles material take-offs (MTOs)
- Evaluates and/or develops labor rates and subcontract costs
- Enters the information into a spreadsheet or database for inclusion in an estimate
- Know the price and availability of materials.
- Research wage/equipment rates, production rates, construction materials, means, and methods.
- Close coordination with Project Management.
- Preparation of bills of material and other information for use by purchasing.
- Be familiar with new construction techniques and methods.
- Reviews our work product and provides cost and schedule control
- Additional duties as determined by Superiors
Qualifications:
- 3+ Years Electrical Estimating Experience
- Proficient with basic computer tasks
- Proficient with construction specific programs (MS Office, CAD, PDF)
- Knowledge of McCormick Systems preferred
- Experience with industry standard estimating software
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Excellent organizational skills
- Effective communication skills
- Detail-oriented
