Key Responsibilities of an Senior Electrical Engineer
- Manage the design, specification, and installation of electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, MCCs, motors, and controls.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for power distribution and lockout processes.
- Maintain and improve the plant's electrical infrastructure by collaborating with maintenance teams.
- Spearhead plant upgrades and new equipment installations.
- Coordinate design, specification, and installation of mechanical systems such as conveyors and pumps.
- Monitor project costs, schedules, and deliver timely updates to stakeholders.
- Supervise equipment commissioning and construction activities.
- Lead energy savings initiatives and collaborate with the local electrical power provider.
- Work with maintenance and operations teams to enhance equipment performance and ensure plant efficiency.
Qualification Requirements to be a Senior Electrical Engineer
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or an associate's degree in engineering technology.
Minimum of 5 years in manufacturing, with a focus on building automation and energy control systems, commissioning and energy-saving initiatives and PLCs and instrumentation (preferred).
Skill Requirements for Senior Electrical Engineer:
Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
Familiarity with energy management program development.
