Chemours is seeking a Site Electrical Engineerto join our growing Thermal and Specialized Solutions team. This position will be available at the Chemours La Porte site located on the Houston Ship Channel and report directly to the Site Manufacturing Technology Manager.This role will serve as the lead Site Electrical Engineer for the Chemours assets at this facility. The individual will provide overall Electrical guidance and support for the Operations, Maintenance, and Technology Teams for the site. This will entail involvement in day-to-day troubleshooting in the plant, as well as support for improvement programs in the areas of maintenance & repair, UPTIME, reliability, cost, safety, new capital installations, and more. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:Provide technical expertise in low and medium voltage electrical distribution systems including motor control centers, switchgear, relays, sizing power cables, Variable Frequency Drives, etc.Provides technical guidance and review for Electrical procedures, programs, and safe work practicesServing as the Site Electrical Safety ProfessionalProvides troubleshooting expertiseDeveloping predictive and preventive maintenance procedures to ensure improved equipment reliability.Providing follow-up on electrical & electronic equipment failures, determining root cause and identifying actions to prevent recurrence.Provides support for both cost and capital projects, including scoping out, justifying, and coordinating installation of new/modified facilitiesRecommending, sourcing, and ensuring proper installation of new electrical systemsProvides technical expertise to communicate/work with other internal and external Instrument and Electrical EngineersMaintain level of technical expertise in key technologies via training, seminars, and professional organizationsRecommends and implements solutions to drive continuous improvement.Assist with recommendations for equipment repair and replacement.
