We're seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Technical Sales Engineer to lead growth in our installed base services division. In this field-facing role, you'll combine deep electrical engineering expertise with solution-oriented sales strategies to deliver engineering upgrades, maintenance contracts, and system retrofit projects. You'll serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers and collaborate closely with internal engineering and service teams to execute critical infrastructure solutions.
This position is ideal for an Electrical Engineer who enjoys client interaction and has a strong understanding of legacy and current switchgear technologies. You'll work with technical stakeholders, identify complex service needs, and create custom proposals that solve real-world power system challenges.
- Identify and develop new service opportunities within existing and prospective commercial/industrial clients
- Conduct technical assessments of electrical power systems, including legacy switchgear and distribution infrastructure
- Develop tailored service solutions, including upgrades, retrofits, maintenance plans, and turnkey installations
- Present and articulate technical value propositions to clients at varying levels of engineering expertise
- Collaborate with engineering, field service, and project teams to ensure proper solution design and delivery
- Serve as a key customer liaison and subject matter expert on electrical infrastructure issues
- Maintain CRM records and activity tracking for sales forecasting and project updates
- Monitor trends and advancements in electrical power distribution, service innovations, and customer needs
- Build and maintain strong relationships with facility managers, engineers, and technical buyers
