An award-winning, multi-disciplinary engineering and design firm is seeking a licensed Electrical Engineer to join their team in a full-time capacity. The ideal candidate will be a Florida-licensed PE and an active member of NCEES, with extensive experience in the design and management of large-scale Senior Living (ILF/ALF), Healthcare, and Multifamily High-Rise projects. This position does not include CADD production but does require complete oversight of assigned project performance and design compliance according to firm standards.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage assigned projects from concept through completion, ensuring quality engineering design and client satisfaction.
  • Supervise engineering design efforts in compliance with internal standards, codes, and client expectations.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to assigned project teams.
  • Attend project meetings and provide representation during both design and construction phases.
  • Conduct site visits for electrical system assessments and resolve field-related engineering issues.
  • Deliver technically proficient electrical solutions for a variety of facility types and project scopes.
  • Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver cohesive, timely, and on-budget results.
  • Prepare graphic and written documentation for construction.

Qualifications:


  • Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Florida (Required)
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering within an AE (Architecture & Engineering) environment
  • Proficient in power systems design, lighting design, and low voltage systems
  • Knowledgeable in load calculations, system sizing, and relevant building codes
  • Demonstrated experience with:
  • Outlet, data, and telephone layout design
  • Electrical infrastructure assessments and reporting
  • Managing large-scale renovation and new construction projects, including commercial, high-rise, and senior living environments
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work across departments and with clients
  • Commitment to quality service, collaboration, and technical accuracy
  • Autodesk AutoCAD 2020
  • Autodesk Revit 2020
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
