Summary

NG Bailey Facilities Services is recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to join our team on an exciting new-build commercial development in the heart of Manchester city centre. This landmark project is the latest addition to our growing portfolio and requires a high standard of service delivery in a premium, high-specification environment.

As part of our on-site engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering planned and reactive electrical maintenance across state-of-the-art systems within a modern commercial setting. You will also support high standards of building performance, safety, and customer service.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance primarily related to Electrical Building Services Plant and Systems, in line with agreed programmes and SLAs, to meet client and statutory compliance.
  2. Complete remedial works identified through PPM and reactive requests.
  3. Carry out planned, reactive, and small works such as emergency light repairs, fault diagnosis, and building services equipment repairs.
  4. Maintain premises to an exceptionally high standard.
  5. Ensure all site documentation and compliance records for electrical systems are up-to-date and regularly audited.
  6. Assist in supervising subcontractor works, ensuring compliance with H&S standards.
  7. The role operates during core hours: Monday to Friday alternating weekly with .

Candidate requirements:

An experienced electrical technician working to high standards in a commercial occupied environment, with a focus on customer service.

Qualifications include:

  • NVQ Level 2-3 (Electrical Discipline) or City and Guilds equivalent
  • 18th Edition
  • C&G 2391 / AM2 (advantageous)
  • Ability to undertake remedial and reactive repairs with minimal supervision
  • IOSH Working / Managing Safely (desirable)
  • Knowledge of PTW, RAMS, and safe systems of work (desirable)
