Electrical Electronics Engineer

Our client is a leading global player in the Oil & Gas Industry. They design and manufacture ROVs (Remotely Operated Vehicles), Observation Class ROVs, Trenchers, and Submarine Rescue Systems. Continued growth has created a new opportunity for an experienced Electrical Electronics Engineer to join an established team responsible for engineering design and support functions. The engineer will handle small projects or subsections of larger projects under the supervision of senior engineers.

1. Manage design projects from initial concept/enquiry through detailed design to manufacturing handover.
2. Provide design input on projects, utilizing the technical competencies listed below.
3. Generate ideas for developments and new products.
4. Be responsible for small projects or sub-sections of larger projects.
5. Produce engineering designs, specifications, and documentation compliant with ISO 9001.
6. Assist in preparing operating and maintenance manuals.
7. Provide offsite engineering support for new products.
8. Assist sales and marketing teams in preparing quotes and proposals.
9. Provide customer support and training for customer operating personnel.
10. Support production, logistics, and integration departments with technical expertise.
11. Adhere to company procedures and relevant national and international regulations.
12. Work within established timescales and budgets.
13. Instruct, train, and mentor junior engineering staff.
14. Ensure engineering aspects of company products meet their intended function.
15. Respond promptly to production, logistical, and technical support inquiries.
16. Contribute design input on all projects as required within set timescales.

1. Ideally hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a related/equivalent subject.
2. Experience with electronic systems such as electric motors, power distribution and protection equipment, variable speed drives, wiring distribution systems, and industrial sensors and equipment.
3. Knowledge of PCB manufacturing standards.
4. Proficiency in designing analogue and digital electronic circuits.
5. Experience with PCB design using Altium or equivalent software.
6. Understanding of inspection, testing, and certification requirements.
7. Ability to complete and review designs and documentation accurately.
