About the Role: Join our team as a Senior Electrical Designer and lead the charge in designing, developing, and modifying electrical components and processes. Your expertise will be pivotal in addressing and solving technical challenges, ensuring the electrical engineering aspects of our projects meet complex requirements with precision and innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and apply standard engineering methods, techniques, and procedures using independent judgment with limited oversight.
- Perform advanced electrical engineering design tasks, including creating high-level documentation, schematics, connection diagrams, and load lists.
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams on projects of moderate complexity.
- Develop material requisitions and specifications for bespoke cable assemblies, supporting cable manufacture with project-specific requirements.
- Interpret and apply relevant codes, standards, and customer requirements for the development of specifications and system descriptions.
- Offer mentorship on engineering methods to peers, enhancing team skill sets.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable installation codes, regulations, and standards.
- Manage documentation and create procedures for installation and maintenance of electrical systems.
- Select components and equipment based on detailed analysis of specifications and reliability.
Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in a relevant field.
- 5-12 years of relevant professional experience, depending on level.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with NASA and MIL standards.
- Extensive experience in connectorized cable design, control panel component selection, and electrical system layout.
- Strong understanding of NEC code, ANSI/IEEE Standards, and proficiency with ETAP, CAD 2D, and electronic Cable Management Systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple tasks.
