Please note this role offers hybrid working, with a minimum of 60% onsite and 40% home working.

Overview

As a member of the Electrical Systems team, you will be involved in designing, installing, and commissioning LV and HV pulsed power supplies, controls, diagnostics, and safety systems for the ST40 programme. You will also handle LV mains infrastructure for Tokamak Energy sites. Your responsibilities include creating electrical schematics, documenting hardware, discussing new solutions, and improving processes. The scope ranges from small electrical assemblies to complex machinery and installations.

Requirements

Essential

  • HNC / HND or similar qualification in an electrical discipline
  • Ability to create and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Experience with test and measurement equipment for fault-finding, and a hands-on approach
  • Solid knowledge of electrical principles
  • Experience with electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical and Autodesk Vault

Desirable

  • Knowledge of electrical design standards like BS 7671, IEC 60204, IEC 61439
  • Awareness of safety standards such as ISO 13849 and IEC 61508
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001
  • Proficiency with Office 365 tools, Teams, Planner, OneDrive
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI
