Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer looking to join an innovative and expanding company delivering cutting-edge solutions across the Renewable energy sector?
This is a great opportunity to take ownership of technical projects and contribute to sustainable, high-performance electrical systems.
In this role, you'll work as part of a multidisciplinary team, taking the lead on the design and specification of electrical controls, distribution, and PLC systems. You'll collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and site teams to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient delivery from concept through to handover.
This permanent role is ideal for someone with a strong background in electrical engineering, looking to grow within a supportive environment that encourages development and flexibility.
Key Requirements:
- Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in low-voltage electrical power distribution and system design
- Experience with control panel design (MCCs, AMF systems) and power distribution using ACBs, MCCBs, and relays
- Familiarity with UK standards and regulations, including BS 7671, BS EN 60617, and HTMs
- Understanding of PLC and HMI systems
- Proficiency in electrical CAD design
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
The Role:
- Design and specification of electrical systems for building services and industrial control
- Production of SLDs, schematics, cable schedules, and component selections
- Collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Site surveys, commissioning support, and project documentation
- Ensuring electrical designs meet safety and legislative standards
