Electrical Component Librarian / PCB Design Engineer Cannonsburg, PA Contract Position $72.02-$77.02/Hour Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. Responsibilities: Lead the creation and maintenance of electronic component libraries, including schematic symbols, footprints, padstacks, and 3D model mapping, in support of ruggedized electronics design for U.S. Navy programs. Support New Part Requests (NPR), part updates, and obsolescence management (PCN) in coordination with Component Engineering, Database Configuration Management, Electrical Engineering, and PWB Layout teams. Perform database entry and manage part data using MS Access and Windchill. Execute schematic capture, netlisting, part placement, and generate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and error resolution reports. Design to IPC standards and ensure compliance with internal procedures and design documentation standards (e.g., IPC, ASME). Collaborate cross-functionally to support expedited part creation, data/report delivery, and schedule adherence. Provide schematic capture and printed wiring board (PWB) design support; understanding of circuit card assembly processes is a plus. Utilize tools such as Cadence OrCAD Capture CIS, Allegro, Cam350, Polar, Z-planner, PADS, Gerbtool, Valor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Adobe, and Microsoft Office Suite. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (Master's degree preferred). Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience (8 years with a Master's). Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance, if required. Advanced proficiency in Cadence OrCAD Capture CIS and Allegro. Experience working with database management tools such as MS Access and Windchill. Strong understanding of electronic components and industry standards for footprint and symbol creation. Knowledge of IPC design standards and circuit card assembly requirements. Experience with schematic capture, netlisting, and PWB design tools and processes. Familiarity with 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
