Electrical & Instrumentation Manager - Leading Manufacturer St. Louis, MO (Onsite)
A market-leading manufacturer based in St. Louis, renowned for its strong internal promotion culture, workforce stability, and industry leadership in specialty chemicals and industrial manufacturing, is seeking a high-impact Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Manager. In this pivotal role, you'll serve as the plant's go-to authority for all E&I operations-owning reliability, minimizing downtime, and playing a critical role in driving overall plant performance and efficiency.
What You'll Be Doing:
As the Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Manager, you'll lead a team of in-house electricians and contractors, optimizing maintenance performance across a 24/7 plant (the role itself is a standard 9-5). You'll also play a key role in job planning, backlog management, and preventive maintenance strategy.
Core Leadership Responsibilities:

- Lead by example, coach your team, and hold employees accountable to clear performance standards
- Partner with reliability engineering and planning to enhance uptime and operational efficiency
- Support development of your team's technical and problem-solving skills
Planning & Execution Responsibilities:
- Manage backlog and weekly work schedules
- Develop and maintain work plans, BOMs, and preventive maintenance programs in SAP
- Scope jobs, procure materials, coordinate permits, and estimate labor
- Observe work execution, ensure plan adherence, and uphold quality and safety standards

What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in a maintenance role within manufacturing industries
- Proven leadership capability and comfort managing trades or skilled craftspeople
- Strong planning, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to read technical drawings
- SAP experience preferred
