This role will focus on:
You will provide strategicand day to day leadership to drive the delivery of the WM, AmericaManufacturing Inc. Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability plan, whichinitially will be focused on the continued start up and integration ofbusinesses into the new state of the art facility

Key accountabilities include:
  • EHS management system continuous development. With a focus on key areas such as: riskassessment withengineering control measures and safe systems of work for our plant and machinery.
  • Continue to develop and evolve our journey towards the achievingthe milestones within the Group Framework as weprogress from Bronze to Silver level.
  • EHS processes evolution and implementation in readiness for ISOcertifications and in compliance with OSHA standards and best practices, 14001& 45001
  • Coordination of the EHS training and competence matrix, including induction training/knowledge transfer plan (withsender sites)
  • As the competent ESH resource, ensure a legalregister for both safety and environment is completed for the responsiblebusiness. Also ensuring that all environmental permits are fullyoperational in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.
  • Ensure the continual development of existing process suchas; Safe operational start up program, LOTO and BehaviouralBased Safety program.
  • Lead and implement strategy and plan to achieve the ONE Planettargets for net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2025, zero waste to landfill,water reduction and other targets
  • Key member of the site senior leadership team driving thebusiness strategies for the entire WMAMI Site
  • This role will develop into a regional structure, which will seea balance with our direct sales opco's and our main US Supply site, for which thisrole will have EHS remit.
Skills/Experience:
  • Direct experience of leading, developing and implementing EHS best-practice within a manufacturing environments.
  • Experience of leading on EHS projects with a CI mindset
  • Strong understanding of ISO14001 and ISO45001
  • Valid qualification in occupational Health, Safety or Environmental e.g., BS/BA or equivalent experience. Certified Safety Professional accreditation preferred.
  • Ability to engage others effectively and drive change across all levels, finding pragmatic solutions.
