  1. SUMMARY

Execute daily work assignments in accordance with all Hyundai Transys Seating Systems of Savannah safety, quality, and productivity standards. Daily assignments will relate to all aspects of Environmental, Health and Safety within the plant, including environmental reporting to the customer and government agencies. Daily tasks will require timely responses to internal leadership as well as outside entities. Communicating and troubleshooting issues with team members, department management and leadership will be time-sensitive in nature. Time management and communication skills are critical.

2.0 ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform all work assignments in accordance with Hyundai Transys Seating Systems of Savannah production, safety, environmental and quality policies, and procedures.
  • Work closely with other departments, management, and team members to ensure health, safety and environmental issues are addressed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Investigate issues related to environmental, health and safety and report recommendations to plant leadership
  • Create reporting to provide to management and outside agencies; including OSHA logs and EPA/EPD reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement processes with safety standards inside the plant, utilizing improved processes and technology
  • Assist the with implementation of safety and environmental initiatives
  • Validate & continually improve environmental and safety reporting.
  • Ability to plan proactively with other EHS team members and other departments.
  • Ability to use Hyundai Transys Seating Systems software systems.
  • Ability to work well with company leadership and employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.

3.0 OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Complies with all HTGSS Certification standards; Management System (IATF16949) Environmental ISO and Health and Safety ISO policies and procedures
  • Comply with all company policies, practices and standards.
  • Comply with all Hyundai Transys Seating Systems of Savannah Safety and Human Resources polices, practices, and standards
  • Participate in and lead proactive process improvement activities throughout the EHS department.
  • Communicate effectively with employees at all levels within the company.
  • Adhere to Hyundai Transys Seating Systems of Savannah Intellectual Property Policy
  • Maintain the highest degree of honesty and integrity at all times.
  • Maintain high levels of personal and professional organization and housekeeping
4.0 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION

  • Education and/or Experience:BS/BA degree in Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry or Environmental Science and at least 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience related to environmental, health and safety.
  • Language Skills:Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write in-depth correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to company leadership and other employees of the organization.
  • Mathematical Skills:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Computer: Ability to use computer programs including MS suite, SAP, EHS systems and Hyundai Transys Seating Systems Software.
  • Progression: Ability to show progress towards attaining basic skills in the fore mentioned para 2.0 Duties and Responsibilities.

5.0 PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
