Expected pay range: $58,580 - $67,000/yearSummary and ScopeResponsible for planning, implementing, and supporting all site safety, accident, and fire protection programs for the Company at numerous locations. Analyze needs and determine specifications for protective safety equipment, materials, and gear. Directs surveillance inspections and controls hazardous working conditions or unsafe employee activities. Ensures required records and reports are complete, accurate and submitted in accordance with established Company procedures. This position will be located at a company site.
Essential Functions- Working alongside site management, lead safety operations onsite to maintain the safety and health of all personnel.
- Identifies real time patterns of safety concerns and reports back to supervisor.
- Perform in-house training regarding site safety and safety-related regulations.
- Write site-specific health and safety plans and job specific JSA's.
- Perform site safety and environmental audits on a frequent basis.
- Assist field personnel in complying with federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to safety and environment.
- Conducts new hire site specific safety orientations and on-boarding.
- Proactively seek new ways to improve overall safety performance and employee well-being in the field.
- Assist management in generating new policies and/or procedures related to safety.
- Communicate clearly; interactively with workforce.
- Develop and maintain organizational communications related to EHS including effectively utilizing safety tools and systems.
- Exemplify the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
- Identify trends that could affect objectives and/or operational resources; advise accordingly.
- Work effectively as a team member, team leader, and with all members of the organization executing site updates and repairs as needed.

Skills and Specifications- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to produce both standard and ad hoc reports.

- Have and maintain a clean driving record (able to drive company vehicles).
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office and other basic computer skills.

Required Education and Experience- Associate degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field, required.
- Bachelor's degree, preferred.
- 3 years of related safety experience, required.
- Safety experience in construction, manufacturing, logistics, or field operations, preferred.
- CPR/AED/First Aid, OSHA 30 certification, required.

Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, see, hear, stand, walk, bend, twist, kneel, climb, engage in repetitive motions, and use hands and fingers to manipulate objects, tools, or controls. May routinely and repetitively lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted (or heavier with the use of proper equipment and procedures).
Expected Hours of WorkThe ability to work flexible hours including nights, holidays, and weekends will be required based on contract needs. It is expected for this position to attend regular meetings during typical work hours in Eastern Standard Time as well as meetings as needed for assigned projects in other time zones.
Work EnvironmentThis remote job operates in a professional office environment and field environments. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, smart phones, tablets, photocopiers, filing cabinets and other presentation materials. There is an expectation of clear communication in English both written and orally.
TravelThis position requires up to 100% travel. Travel is dependent on contract load. The ability to travel to job sites and be away for extended periods of time based on contract needs is required. Short notice travel is required with 24-48 hours' notice.

- Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, occupational health physical and lift test (if applicable), credit check (if applicable), and a background check upon accepting a conditional offer of employment.
