EHS Manager - Manufacturing
We are seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and manage EHS programs across manufacturing operations. This role is critical to ensuring regulatory compliance, developing robust safety and environmental policies, and fostering a culture of safety within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in EHS leadership within manufacturing and is passionate about proactive risk management and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations across all manufacturing sites globally.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive environmental and safety policies tailored to manufacturing operations.
- Conduct detailed risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure employee safety and environmental protection.
- Champion a strong safety culture on the manufacturing floor and throughout the organization.
- Proactively identify, assess, and manage EHS risks in all aspects of manufacturing processes.
- Design and deliver EHS training programs, including safety protocol education, emergency response preparedness, and hazard communication.
- Implement and monitor systematic safety approaches such as audits, behavior-based safety initiatives, and accident investigation protocols.
- Drive EHS performance improvement through Lean, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for all EHS matters related to manufacturing operations and provide guidance to plant and operations leadership.
- Maintain documentation and reporting systems for compliance tracking and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
- 4+ years of EHS management experience within a manufacturing environment.
- OSHA 30-hour Certification.
- CPR/AED/First Aid Instructor Certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and related documentation tools.
- CSM, ASP, or CSP Certification.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma principles.
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive safety initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
