The EHS Associate will assist in maintaining safety, compliance, and sustainability within the organization. This role is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of EHS policies and programs to ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations while promoting employee well-being and environmental stewardship.

Description

  • EHS Program Support:

    • Assist in developing and updating EHS policies, procedures, and training materials.
    • Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Regulatory Compliance:

    • Maintain records and documentation to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
    • Support the preparation and submission of required environmental and safety reports.
    • Monitor changes in EHS regulations and advise management on compliance strategies.
  • Training and Education:

    • Coordinate and conduct EHS training sessions for employees, including onboarding safety orientation.
    • Promote awareness of EHS initiatives through communication and engagement activities.
  • Incident Management:

    • Assist in investigating incidents, near-misses, and injuries to determine root causes and recommend preventative measures.
    • Maintain incident reports and track corrective actions to closure.
  • Sustainability Initiatives:

    • Support environmental initiatives, including waste reduction, energy conservation, and recycling programs.
    • Participate in projects aimed at minimizing the company's environmental footprint.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in EHS within a manufacturing or consumer goods environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety and environmental regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and engagement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with EHS management systems is a plus.
