Summary The EHR Application Support Analyst offers in-depth expertise on the functionality of EHR solutions, primarily EPIC, and possesses a thorough understanding of end-user workflows and the specific needs of various departments. This role involves developing and delivering comprehensive training programs, including refresher courses, efficiency training, new employee onboarding, and training for system upgrades. The analyst plays a critical role in supporting the implementation of existing and future EHR systems and modules, as well as managing system conversions as they relate to a community connect health system. By ensuring that healthcare staff are well-trained and operational workflows are effectively implemented, the EHR Application Support Analyst helps maintain the smooth operation and desired performance of EHR utilization within the organization. Provides expertise on application functionality and is well-versed in end-user workflows and departmental needs. Develops and executes training for refresher, efficiency training needs, new employee onboarding, and upgrade training. Supports system implementations and conversions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Primary point of contact for assigned Ambulatory Clinics, understand their processes and workflows and have advanced knowledge of their applications.
- Advanced knowledge of EPIC Ambulatory module.
- Cross trains to support other Epic modules including Orders.
- Cross trains to support Cancer Center EMR.
- Provides expertise on application functionality.
- Participates in workflow testing during system upgrades.
- Maintains documentation on system processes and procedures.
- Stays current with new application functionality and enhancements.
- Provides a role-based training program.
- Trains, assesses end-user proficiency.
- Creates and maintains training materials.
- Maintains training policy and procedure documentation.
- Performs data auditing and validation to ensure accuracy of system data.
- Provides customer service to users and troubleshoots application/system issues.
- Communicates and resolves system issues to maximize system potential.
- Participates in cross functional work teams and works with a variety of customers to identify functional needs and solutions.
- Documents and reports system issues through internal chain of command; communication with vendor where appropriate.
- Maintains and develops professional skills through training (both hospital provided and self-directed).
- Demonstrates high standards in HIPAA privacy practices. Job Duties require access to and availability of PHI on a daily basis.

Minimum Education/Experience Associate's Degree IT and/or Healthcare or 1-2 years relevant experience
Required Licenses/Certifications Credentialed in Epic Ambulatory

- Certifications: Credentialed in Epic Ambulatory upon hire.

- Strong EPIC Healthcare Applications Experience: Extensive experience with EPIC Healthcare applications is required to support clinic operations and ensure the effective use of the EHR system.
- Experience with Data Platforms: Knowledge and experience with data platforms are important for performing data auditing, validation, and ensuring the accuracy of system data.
Preferred:
- Proven Track Record: A history of producing high-quality deliverables on time, demonstrating ownership and accountability for their assignments. A strong work ethic and commitment to excellence are essential.
- Experience with Ticketing Systems: Familiarity with ticketing systems is necessary for managing and resolving support requests efficiently.
