This job can be a part-time or Full time position. Star City Music is seeking an energetic person to join our team to help service school band programs (middle, high & colleges) in a 100-mile radius. Below is the overview of the job, but it can be tailored to your skill set and needs. You don't need to be a musician, but it helps. In a nutshell, this is about driving and interacting with people; you do need to be well-organized, prompt, and a good communicator. Educational Representative

Position Summary

The goal of the Educational Representative is to grow sales and services within our marketplace by maintaining and growing a successful as well as a profitable school instrument rental, sales, and services marketplace. You will be responsible for creating demand, growing the customer base, establishing and maintaining a strong customer base, and meeting or exceeding our rental, sales, and services goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Other duties, assignments, and specific projects may be set with the goal of growing the customer base in our marketplace and beyond.

Meet or exceed rental and sales objectives within our marketplace.

Inventory Control; Keep accurate records of the assets of the company in your charge.

Assist in establishing rental and sales targets for each school.

Grow market share through constant competitive analysis and evaluation of products, services, and changing market variables from local competitors, as well as cyber retailers.

Grow the market by prospecting for new schools in our market area.

Maintain a professional image.

Prompt return of phone calls, emails, or texts.

Make and keep appointments by email, phone, text, or any other means possible.

Continue to develop relationships with educators, parents, and students, as well as other professionals in the music industry.

Plan and execute clear objectives for each school visit.

Discuss opportunities for growth within the company, Personal career path, the market, the customer base, and additional music products relative to the marketplace in your charge.

Basic Knowledge and Experience

You must have a good working proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook other software packages may assist in your success as well.

Skills and Abilities

To perform the job successfully, you must be able to execute each of these essential duties satisfactorily.

Effectively manage school rental and sales objectives with minimal supervision

Good communication skills, verbal, written, and visual.

Ability to learn company systems, and processes and use them effectively.

Must have a valid drivers license and maintain a good driving record

You must be able to pass a criminal and credit background check at any time.

Strong problem-solving skills are a must when promoting goodwill with our customer base.

Physical Demand & Work Effort

The job involves travel from a base location on a regular basis, an individual must be able to drive a vehicle safely and responsibly provided by the company.

You will need to be able to push pull, and move a 50 lbs. package.

Travel is required and will be a large part of your workday.

Due to some events, overnight stays may be necessary.
