THE BUSINESS

Our client specialises in joinery within commercial sectors, mainly supplying office fit outs and improvements. This encapsulates products such as reception area, desks, display features, screens, seating areas, etc. They currently employ around 70 staff and have a turnover of £16m. They supply the top end of the market providing luxurious, modern office fittings that are stylish and ergonomically friendly.

Westray Recruitment Group is seeking to recruit an Edge Bander Wood Machinist to work for our client based in Teesside.

THE ROLE

• Operating an Edge Bander within a busy joinery workshop
• Producing bespoke goods
• Learning to operate other wood-based machinery
• Loading and unloading machinery
• Working to programme, set and operate an Edge Banner
• Following technical drawings and cutting lists to produce joinery component items
• Learning to use computer aided design, manufacturing (CAD/CAM) programmes or CNC software

THE PERSON

• Previous experience operating an Edge bander
• Ability to learn additional machinery such as Re Saws, 6 Cutters, Moulders, Thicknessers, Spindle Moulders
• Willing to learn to operate additional joinery machinery
• Abiding by H&S
• Working to achieve production-based targets
