Job Description
Database Analyst who can design, maintain, and update large databases, reviews database designs, and ensures consistency of standards, procedures, and content. Assembles, manipulates, analyzes, and disseminates data. The DB Analyst II will plan and coordinate database design and development to ensure the development of an accurate research database. The Candidate will work collaboratively with team members to manage business requirements, and provide maintenance, and support of institutional/departmental survey builds and data collection needs, and other duties as assigned. Familiarity or experience working with research study surveys and electronic data capture (EDC) platforms, such as Qualtrics and REDCap is a plus. Candidate under supervision, may interact with faculty and staff and must be able to foster trusting relationship with IS staff and their clients.
Responsibilities
The position is responsible for:
Assisting the IS team with executing survey development and maintenance changes for new and existing Research surveys, to include:
o Building/ editing electronic data collection surveys
o Testing
o Data exports
o Management of related business support request tickets
Working collaboratively with IS Staff to gather and document requirements from stakeholder/staff.
Delivering guidance and instructions to staff regarding questions related to assigned work.
Providing timely turn-around and updates on assignments to co-workers and or business staff.
Communicating with IS Support and business staff via various electronic channels: MS Outlook, Teams, department support ticketing solutions (Zendesk)
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Skills and Requirements
2+ years of in the design of databases and data collection instruments.
Programming experience in an EDC application (Trial Master, Redcap, Redcap Cloud, Qualtrics) Some experience creating dashboards using data visualization tools (e.g. PBI, Tableau, Qlik, and data warehousing applications) as applicable.
Experience with JavaScript is a plus.
Experience with SQL programming preferred.
Experience with R/SAS preferred.
Proven performance in earlier role/comparable role.
Clinical Research Systems focused informatics experience including knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11 Compliance Preferred null
