Job Description:

The eCommerce Merchandising Specialist role at OSJL is responsible for managing product, collection, and categories on OSJL's public website. This role oversees the addition of new products to the web catalog and category pages, as well as ongoing maintenance of thousands of web product stock keeping units. The eCommerce Merchandising Specialist role possesses a passion for product, technology, data, and innovation. This role collaborates cross-functionally with OSJL's Marketing, Merchandising, Buying, and Analytics teams to create the best possible user experience within OSJL's product catalog, to inform potential customers, and to drive store traffic and online purchases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage OSJL's online product catalog and its categorization and merchandising using website platform tools. Maintain product catalog spreadsheets and documentation.
  • Partner with the Company's Advertising, Buying, and Planning and Analytics teams to manage incoming web catalog product queue and coordinate product photography, descriptions, and attributes.
  • Oversee categories to which incoming products are added and, as needed, modify categories to align with overall marketing vision and industry best practices. Constantly strive to optimize category taxonomy.
  • Create product families and product variant groupings within the web catalog.
  • Ensure that the website products match ongoing promotions and work with OSJ's Development team to develop process automation.
  • Monitor seasonal product trends to ensure that the website product catalog reflects advertisements in other channels. Ensure proper online product lifecycle and identify opportunities to expand the breadth and quality of product assortment.
  • Collaborate with OSJL's merchants, buyers and the Advertising and Digital Marketing teams to execute category, product, and promotional set up for seasonal campaigns.
  • Work with the Digital Product Manager to integrate product feed into external marketing services.
  • Independently analyze and adjust web merchandise based on product and site performance trends. Use analytics software to track site experience, product performance, and campaign effectiveness to guide ongoing improvements to merchandise presentation and performance.
  • Collaborate with the E-Commerce team to help OSJL implement the "Buy Online, Ship to Store" service efficiently and effectively.
  • Act as a department liaison to support ongoing cross channel marketing campaigns by scheduling team meetings, researching competitors, adjusting marketing calendars, gathering and archiving collateral, and performing other tasks as requested.
  • Create and manage product collections and assist in the creation of landing pages to support specific marketing campaigns.
  • Effectively utilize virtual means to communicate efficiently and work independently under remote conditions as applicable.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in marketing, E-Commerce, or a related field is preferred.
  • 1 or more years of experience with online retail merchandising and analytics is preferred.
  • Professional experience in digital marketing or a related field is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of web design and web analytic software is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google platform (i.e. Sites, Slides, Drive, Docs, Sheets).
Work Environment:
  • Works primarily in a climate controlled environment with minimal safety and health hazard
    potential.
  • Works in an office environment remaining stationary at a desk, table, or computer workstation for extended periods of time. Frequently uses near vision for reading and computer tasks.
  • Hybrid (minimum of 3 days in the office): Work may be completed outside of the company locations. The role is responsible for setting up a professional and ergonomically safe work environment and to be available during working hours. The role may also bring their own device/s to complete all work (e.g. all computer hardware and software, including audio and video capabilities for virtual meetings; and reliable Internet connection with ability to access the Google platform for virtual meetings and applications used for work).

The annual salary range for this position is between $50,000 - $55,000.00. Salary commensurates with years of experience.
