LHH is partnering with a Museum client to find a dynamic and experienced Ecommerce and Book Store Manager. This role is pivotal in driving the online sales and digital presence of the Museum bookstore, ensuring a seamless and engaging customer experience across the e-commerce platform and the physical store.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ecommerce Strategy and Management:
- Develop and implement strategic and annual financial plans to achieve and exceed online sales and profitability goals.
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the online store, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
- Drive online sales through effective digital merchandising, promotions, and customer engagement strategies.
- Plan and execute online marketing campaigns, including email marketing and social media promotions.
- Coordinate shipping fulfillments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders.
- Team Leadership:
- Schedule, mentor, and supervise e-commerce staff to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
- Implement team protocols and provide comprehensive training to staff and volunteers.
- Financial and Operational Management:
- Plan, prepare, and monitor the departmental budget, profit and loss (P&L), and analytics to measure and report on e-commerce performance.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and maintain accurate reports for sales tax and financial reporting.
- Vendor and Inventory Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure appropriate stock levels and pricing advantages.
- Manage point-of-sale (POS), purchase order, and inventory management systems to align with the e-commerce operational plan and financial goals.
- Collaboration and Marketing:
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Graphic Design teams to create, develop, plan, and execute the store's marketing materials.
- Work with the Events and Development departments on special events and activations, donor engagement, and other special projects.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, or online store management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage customers professionally.
- Proficiency in e-commerce platforms and point-of-sale systems, including Shopify (preferred).
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and transactions.
- Collaborative spirit: enjoys working with a wide variety of people and departments, while also being able to work proactively and independently.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
