Job Purpose: We are hiring a skilled Business Systems Analyst - eCommerce to lead the discovery and definition of functional requirements for our digital commerce platforms. This role involves translating business goals into actionable user stories and collaborating closely with technical and design teams to ensure optimal user experience and platform performance. The ideal candidate will serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring solutions are both technically sound and aligned with business strategy.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to collect and interpret business requirements, converting them into clear user stories or use cases for developers.
  • Analyze existing processes to recommend improvements that enhance eCommerce functionality and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide domain and functional input during solution design and architecture discussions.
  • Develop wireframes, interaction flows, and UX models to support user-friendly digital interfaces.
  • Communicate technical and complex topics in a way that's easy for non-technical stakeholders to understand.
  • Keep up with current eCommerce trends, standards, and best practices to guide solution design.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal teams and external vendors to support project success.
  • Ensure that proposed solutions align with the organization's overarching IT goals and digital roadmap.
  • Contribute to early project phases by assisting with feasibility assessments, scoping, risk evaluation, and time/resource estimates.
  • Support quality assurance efforts by participating in testing activities and ensuring deliverables meet defined requirements.
Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with Hybris eCommerce solutions is highly desirable.
  • Experience with SAP systems is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical decision-makers.
  • Comfortable conducting product demonstrations when needed.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working within Scrum or iterative project environments.
  • Exposure to basic project management tasks or coordination is an advantage.
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree or a comparable mix of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, with an emphasis on business analysis, requirement gathering, system configuration, and customization.
  • Extensive background working with major eCommerce platforms such as Hybris, Shopify, BigCommerce, Salesforce Commerce, or Adobe Commerce.
  • A balanced mix of technical understanding and functional insight to support both business and development teams effectively.
