Responsibilities

  • The ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) Coordinator is responsible for the overall management, coordination, and quality assurance of the ECMO program.
  • This role ensures safe, effective, and evidence-based ECMO support for critically ill patients.
  • The ECMO Coordinator serves as a clinical expert, educator, and liaison between the ECMO team, physicians, nursing staff, respiratory therapists, and hospital leadership.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current and valid RN license in Texas.
  • Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
  • 3 years of cardiovascular heart failure critical care nursing experience with ECMO

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • BSN or MSN preferred
  • APRN preferred
