The Center for the Advanced Study of Teaching and Learning (CASTL) in the School of Education and Human Development at the University of Virginia seeks applicants for a part-time Early Childhood Education Content Developer position to join our highly collaborative, early childhood education (ECE) team. The work will focus on developing professional development courses, sessions, and resources to support Virginia leaders and teachers to ensure all young children in Virginia experience high-quality early learning opportunities. Specifically, the work will support the state-wide expansion of the comprehensive, birth-five STREAMin3 curriculum model and ECE Resource Hub through a partnership and funding from the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE).
Role and Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Be an exper t in the STREAMin 3 Curriculum Model, including the digital curriculum portal.
- Develop content for early childhood curriculum professional development, including courses within Canvas , PPTs, workshop materials, and selec ting high-quality resources from trusted sources.
- Coordinate multiple simultaneous tasks of varying complexity, with demonstrated accountability and excellent attention to detail .
- Work efficiently and independently.
- In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Preferred qualifications for candidates include:
- Expertise and experience with the STREAMin3 curriculum model and the STREAMin3 digital portal .
- Ex tensive ex perience with developing high-quality courses in Canvas or a related tool and training sessions for early childhood educators , preferably related to the STREAMin3 curriculum.
- Excellent executive function skills: organization, time management, shifting focus (multitasking; alternating focus on details and 'the big picture' as needed).
- Proficiency in using: Microsoft Office applications ( W ord, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel , and Teams); video conferencing (Zoom); Canvas (or similar tool), and digital data management tools.

Position Compensation: $32.00 Hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's degree required. Additional experience will be required in lieu of a degree.
Experience: Two years of experience required with a Bachelor's degree. Six years of experience required with a High School degree or equivalent.
Licensure: None.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
