Job Summary:
The E-Commerce Marketplace Manager will be fully responsible for managing all aspects of our third-party marketplace accounts, including Amazon, eBay, Walmart, and others, with the additional goal of expanding to new marketplaces in the future. This role oversees the entire sales process, from vetting incoming closeout deals to listing products, setting prices, managing shipments, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Reporting directly to the Owner/CEO, the ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with warehouse staff and other team members while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Deal Vetting: Evaluate incoming closeout deals to determine their suitability for resale on third-party marketplaces.
Product Listing: Create and manage product listings across multiple marketplaces, ensuring accuracy and optimization for visibility and sales.
Pricing and Discounts: Set competitive prices and create discounts to drive sales while maintaining profitability.
Inventory Management: Coordinate with warehouse staff to create FBA (Fulfilled by Amazon) and WFS (Walmart Fulfillment Services) shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to marketplace fulfillment centers.
Customer Service: Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns, maintaining a high standard of service to uphold marketplace ratings.
Marketplace Compliance: Ensure all listings and practices adhere to the policies and requirements of each marketplace platform.
Product Database Maintenance: Maintain and update the product database to ensure accurate inventory tracking and reporting.
Marketplace Expansion: Research and implement strategies to expand the business to new third-party marketplaces, identifying opportunities for growth.
Performance Monitoring: Work toward standards for sales growth, listing accuracy, and customer satisfaction, with specific metrics to be established over time.
Qualifications and Skills:
5+ years of experience in reselling on Amazon (not private label), with a strong understanding of third-party marketplace operations.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Strong analytical thinking to evaluate deals, optimize pricing strategies, and identify new marketplace opportunities.
Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accurate listings and database management.
Problem-solving skills to address customer service issues and compliance challenges.
Excellent time management and organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks effectively.
Adaptability to stay current with evolving marketplace policies and tools, and to navigate new platforms during expansion.
Clear communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and handling customer interactions.
No formal education or certifications required experience is key.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time, on-site position based in South Gate, CA. The E-Commerce Marketplace Manager will work independently but collaborate closely with warehouse staff and other team members as needed. The role reports directly to the Owner/CEO in a hands-on, results-driven environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
Hourly wage of $20 $27, based on experience.
