E-Commerce Manager Opportunity Summary:

Responsible for driving revenue growth through online sales initiatives and optimizing user experience for a parts distribution business. This role involves managing the company's e-commerce platform, ensuring accurate product listings, integrating digital sales channels with ERP and inventory systems, and ensuring seamless order fulfillment. Works closely with many areas of the business including senior management, operations, sales, marketing, accounting, and information technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive online sales of truck parts and industrial equipment parts.
  • Monitor sales performance, conversion rates, and customer acquisition costs.
  • Identify and develop new online sales opportunities, including B2B and B2C channels.
  • Manage and maintain the company's e-commerce platform.
  • Manage relationships with key OEMs and suppliers to obtain accurate product information including descriptions, specifications, images, and compatibility data.
  • Ensure accurate product listings, descriptions, images, and compatibility data.
  • Optimize website structure, navigation, and search functionality for an improved user experience.
  • Work with e-commerce platform provider, IT and business system software provider to integrate the e-commerce platform with business systems.
  • Ensure a smooth and efficient online ordering process, from browsing to checkout.
  • Oversee order fulfillment, shipping, and return processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitor customer inquiries and coordinate with customer service teams to address issues.
  • Work closely with IT, sales, and warehouse teams to streamline e-commerce operations.
  • Assist marketing in optimizing website content for search engine visibility and lead generation.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to create targeted promotions, discount programs, and seasonal sales.
  • Track and analyze e-commerce KPIs.
  • Lead and train internal teams on e-commerce best practices and digital tools.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Work Experience & Qualifications:
  • Our ideal candidate would hold a bachelor's degree; 5+ years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
