We're looking for smart meter engineers with a track record of safety and customer excellence. You'll be representing our brands in our customers' homes, so you'll need to be just as comfortable talking to customers and getting to know them as you are about doing the installation itself.
You'll be fitting meters, demonstrating how their meters and in-home displays work, explaining how these can help customers save energy, and answering any questions about the green energy revolution we are leading.
As part of the Octopus Energy Services team, we'll ensure you have everything you need to deliver top-class service. You'll be supported by an office team sharing the same performance goals, working as one team. You'll also benefit from Octopus Energy's extensive tech resources, enabling us to continually improve processes to spend less time on admin and more on delivering excellent service.
What you'll need:- MOCoPA - held within the last 2 years and can provide evidence
- Gas Safe - CCN1/MET1 or CMA1/MET1 (or equivalent)
- Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points

Call-out and Overtime:- Rotating call-out schedule once every five weeks (Monday to Sunday), with a £250 retainer. Paid from door to door when called out.
- £50 for attending
- £70 for dual fuel installation
- £35 for single fuel installation
- Technical aborts paid at half rate
Next Steps.- If eligible, you'll be invited to our in-person recruitment event, Octopalooza, to demonstrate your skills and meet the team.
- During the event, you'll undergo qualifications review, a practical trade test, and a short interview with an Area Manager. You'll also have the chance to ask questions about working as a Smart Meter Engineer with Octopus.
£36,500 - £50,000 a year You'll start with a £36,500 base salary, with the potential to earn up to £50,000 OTE- including bonus and on-call pay.
