Position Overview
Prestige Health and Wellness is seeking a dedicated and experienced Part-Time Dual-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC & AGNP/FNP) to join our team on a 1099 independent contractor basis, with a clear potential for transitioning to a Full-Time role for the right candidate.
This position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered psychiatric care within a flexible hybrid schedule. You will conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, manage medications, integrate holistic wellness approaches, and administer innovative treatments like Spravato (esketamine) therapy. Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough 60-minute initial psychiatric evaluations (assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning).
Provide focused 30-minute medication management follow-up appointments.
Administer and monitor Spravato (esketamine) therapy according to protocols, ensuring client safety and coordinating care.
Collaborate effectively with therapists, Primary Care Providers (PCPs), and other multidisciplinary team members.
Maintain accurate, high-quality, and timely documentation using our EHR system, complying with all clinical and regulatory standards.
Educate clients and families on medications, diagnoses, symptom management, and lifestyle strategies.
Utilize evidence-based practices to treat psychiatric, behavioral, and co-occurring conditions, including support for medical weight loss clients.
Participate actively in clinical case reviews and team meetings as needed.
Uphold the highest ethical, legal, and professional standards of practice.
Schedule & Work Environment
Part-Time: Initially 2-3 days per week.
Hybrid Model: Flexible blend of in-person and telehealth services.
In-Person Required: For Spravato administration, medical weight loss consultations, and select initial psychiatric assessments.
Telehealth Flexibility: Utilized for medication follow-ups and other appropriate ongoing care.
Balanced Caseload: Thoughtful mix of 60-minute initial evaluations and 30-minute follow-ups.
Qualifications
Active, unrestricted Florida license as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
Required Dual Certification: PMHNP plus either FNP or AGNP certification.
Board Certification (PMHNP-BC) required.
Current DEA license with authority to prescribe Schedules II-V medications in Florida.
Demonstrated experience in adult psychiatric care, including psychopharmacology and medication management.
Experience or willingness to be trained in Spravato/esketamine therapy administration ( prior experience is strongly is a plus ).
Excellent clinical judgment, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
Collaborative Agreement: Must possess or be able to establish and maintain a collaborative practice agreement with a physician that meets Florida state requirements for NP practice.
Bilingual candidates (e.g., Spanish-speaking) are highly encouraged to apply.
