As a key member of our Center for the Arts team, you'll lead engaging mosaic art experiences for adults and students with developmental disabilities. Your role combines hands-on creative instruction with meaningful support, empowering individuals to express themselves through art while gaining valuable life skills.

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES -
  • Support 3-4 individuals in a small group setting through daily scheduled activities.
  • Use creative, varied teaching approaches to keep art lessons engaging, meaningful, and accessible.
  • Plan and lead fun, client-centered art projects tailored to individual needs and interests.
  • Adapt lessons to match each person's learning style and group dynamics.
  • Make each day enjoyable by fostering connection, creativity, and confidence.
  • Assist individuals with self-care and daily living tasks as needed.
  • Encourage choice-making and independence throughout all activities.
  • Deliver individual program plans/goals and behavior support plans.
  • Accompany and rehearse with guests as needed.
  • Lead and oversees rehearsals for mosaics programming and TERI Special Events.
  • Support safety and well-being by using proactive intervention strategies when necessary.
  • Administer medications and provide basic medical/first aid care as trained.
  • Promptly report any concerns regarding personal safety or well-being
QUALIFICATIONS -
  • B/A BS Degree in educational, Art Education, Studio Art, Fine Arts, Mosaics, or related field.
  • At least one year of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination working with special needs and experience working with adults in vocational or volunteer settings.
  • Demonstrate personal skills, creative talent, and ability in mosaics, preferably proficiency with multiple tools and mediums.
  • Develop, write, and deliver a genre of arts and mosaics curriculum.
  • Must be able to obtain Class B Driver's License with 2 Years Clean Driving Record
SALARY -

$25.00 Hourly
