TERI, we're looking for compassionate, enthusiastic individuals to join our Center for the Arts program as a DSP-1 Direct Support Professional.
This role is all about empowering individuals with developmental disabilities to live vibrant, joyful, and fulfilling lives. You'll provide hands-on support in a creative, activity-driven environment-helping our clients thrive through daily engagement, care, and connection.
WHAT YOU'LL DO - - Support 3-4 individuals in a group setting through daily activities and creative programs
- Make every day meaningful and fun by engaging clients in exercise, art, music, and more
- Support individuals with activities of daily living at the appropriate level.
- Assist with daily living tasks such as personal hygiene, toileting, and occasional feeding
- Foster independence and empower clients by offering choices throughout the day
- Deliver individual program plans/goals and behavior support plans.
- Assist with interventions designed to protect individuals who engage in severe problem behavior and those around them.
- Administer medications and basic first aid as needed
- Ensure safety and well-being by responding appropriately to challenging behaviors or medical needs
QUALIFICATIONS - - High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Minimum of 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination in with special needs and experience working with adults in vocational or volunteer settings.
- Must be able to obtain Class B Driver's License with 2 Years Clean Driving Record
SALARY - $20.00 Hourly
