Job Summary:
Lettire Construction Corp., an established ground up builder in the tri-state area, are seeking a skilled Driver and Construction Inventory Coordinator to join our team. Responsibilities include operating a company truck, inventory management of tools from projects, loading/unloading and delivery/transport of materials. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient transportation of materials and coordinating inventory for construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction logistics, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Driving and Transportation:
- Safely drive/operate company vehicles to transport tools, and equipment to and from construction sites
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine maintenance checks
Inventory Coordination:
- Track inventory levels of construction tools
- Picking up & dropping off materials at job sites
- Loading & unloading materials in truck
Documentation and Record-Keeping:
- Ability to Track / Log Daily Activities
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, withdrawals, and returns
Communication and Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with management and project teams regarding inventory needs and transportation schedules
- Follow all company service protocols and other duties as assigned by management
- Ability to read and interpret documents including company policies/procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, maps and road signs.
- Basic computer literacy including email and internet skills
- Ability to obtain OSHA certifications if needed
- Fluent in English & Spanish speaking, reading, and writing
Safety and Compliance:
- Follow safety rules and exercise safe work practices in accordance with company policies and DOT requirements
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to inventory management and transportation
- Ability to operate heavy equipment preferred
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in logistics or driving a plus
- Proven experience as a driver, preferably in the construction or logistics industry
- Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Familiarity with construction materials and tools
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to successfully pass DOT drug screen, medical certification, physical exam and road exams
- Class A or B CDL Preferred
- Must be able to meet physical demands evaluation
- Must be able to lift 100 LBS
